Cowboys Collect All-America Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team had a trio of players achieve All-America status with the finalization of the NCAA Division I PING All-America Teams on Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Joining first-team selection Preston Stout, who was previously named a first-team pick, were classmates Ethan Fang and Eric Lee. The junior duo garnered honorable mention recognition.
Additionally, Stout was named a first-team pick and Fang received honorable mention status from Golfweek on Wednesday as well.
Stout closed out a historic season earlier this month by becoming the school's 10th NCAA individual champion. His victory was his fifth of the season, marking the most by a Cowboy junior. The win was also the eighth of his career and moved him within three of matching Lindy Miller for the top spot on the school's all-time list.
A native of Richardson, Texas, Stout picked up his first win of the season at the Cabo Collegiate and followed with medalist honors at the Maridoe Collegiate and Mountaineer Invitational. He would go on to win his third consecutive Big 12 title, becoming the first player in league history to do so.
In addition to All-America status, Stout was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and a finalist for the Ben Hogan Award, Fred Haskins Award and Jack Nicklaus Award.
Fang started the year with a victory at the Carmel Cup and followed with top-10 showings at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational and The Clerico. This spring, the Plano, Texas native shared medalist honors with Stout at the Maridoe Collegiate and earned top 10s at the Haskins Award Invitational and the Big 12 Championship.
Lee opened his junior campaign with a pair of top 10s at the Carmel Cup and the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational. He would go on to tie for fourth place at the Maridoe Collegiate. The Fullerton, Calif.,, native earned his second victory as a Cowboy after claiming medalist honors at the NCAA Marana Regional to become the 13th player in program history to win a regional title.
