Cowboys finish in seventh place at Ben Hogan Collegiate

FORT WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma State men's golf posted a closing 284 at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday to finish in seventh place at Colonial Country Club.
The Cowboys' 18-over total of 858 was four shots back of Vanderbilt at the par-70, 7,289-yard course. Alabama posted an 840, which won the field by five strokes over Auburn in the team race.
Adam Bresnu of Texas Tech took home the individual title after he posted a 7-under 203 throughout the three rounds.
Reigning national champion Preston Stout led the Cowboys with a 2-under 208 and the second lowest round of the tournament to finish tied for third place.
Senior Ethan Fang shot a 71 on the final day to field a 2-over 212 to finish tied in 14th place.
After a 3-under 67 on the final day, senior Eric Lee climbed 40 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied at 27th place with a 6-over 216.
Fellow senior Gaven Lane wrapped up play with a 77 to finish tied for 64th place at 223.
Junior Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson carded a 76 on the final day to finish with a 227 and put himself tied for 73rd place.
The Cowboys will continue their fall slate October 12-14 when they travel to Utah to compete in the Big 12 Match Play Tournament at Salt Lake Country Club.
