John Wild wins Les Fowler Colorado Invitational

DENVER, Colo. — Oklahoma State's John Wild tied the course record with a second-round 63 and claimed the Les Fowler Colorado Invitational title on Tuesday, finishing at 7-under 209 over three rounds at Bear Creek Golf Club.
Wild's 9-under-63 in his second round on Monday afternoon tied the course record set by Jim Knous and is the lowest score in a collegiate tournament at the course.
The 5th-year from Glen Ellyn, Ill., posted scores of 76, 63 and 70 en route to a 3-stroke victory over fellow Cowboy Jaxon Bandelier for the second win of his career and first win for a Cowboy at the event.
The Cowboys fielded three freshmen, Bandelier, Ben Lathrop and Henry Guan, all of whom made their OSU debuts.
Bandelier totaled a 4-under 212 strokes after rounds of 72, 71, 69 to give the Cowboys the top two spots on the leaderboard.
Brady Catalano also placed in the top 10, finishing tied for ninth. The redshirt sophomore carded a 5-under 67 on the final day to finish at 218.
Lathrop recorded rounds of 75, 76, 72 en route to a 13th place finish.
Guan tied for 16th place following his rounds of 72, 78, 74.
Collin Bond carded rounds of 73, 73 and 76 on his way to a tie for 21st place.
