Bio
2025-26 (Redshirt Junior):
6-foot point guard brings a dangerous combo of speed and strength to the Cowboy backcourt… Explosive scorer is coming off an injury-shortened season at Mississippi State… Prior to it, averaged nearly 17 points per game as a sophomore at Penn State.
Lutz on Clary:
"Kanye is a fast point guard who will fit seamlessly into our up-tempo offense. He has performed at a high level over the course of his career. While his 2024-25 season was, unfortunately, cut short by a leg injury, he's full-go now and ready to be a playmaker for our team. I couldn't be more excited to welcome him to Stillwater and Cowboy Nation!"
At Mississippi State (2024-25):
Was slated for a major role in the Bulldogs’ offense but suffered a season-ending injury in late November… Through seven games, averaged 6.3 points in 19.0 minutes while helping MSU to a 6-1 start… Scored a season-high 12 points on 8-of-9 free throw shooting against Southeastern Louisiana and produced an efficient 11 points and six assists without missing a shot (4-of-4 FG, 3-for-3 FT) in a win over Georgia State.
At Penn State (2022-24):
Spent two seasons at Penn State in the Big Ten… Started 20 games as a sophomore in 2023-24 and finished eighth on the Big Ten scoring chart, averaging 16.7 points, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game… Collected 10 games of 20+ points with a career-high 29 against Rider and 28 vs. Butler… Also had standout Big Ten performances of 25 at Maryland, 21 at Michigan State, 25 against Northwestern and 27 in a win over No. 11 Wisconsin... As a freshman averaged 3.7 points in 32 appearances for a Nittany Lion team that finished runner-up in the Big Ten tournament and reached the NCAA tournament’s round-of-32.
High School:
A four-year captain and three-time team MVP who scored more than 2,000 points during his high school career… Prepped at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia… Helped his team to the semifinals at the 2022 National Prep Championship and was named to the all-tournament first team… Before that, was a two-time first all-district and first team All-Region 5A selection at Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach… Averaged 25.5 points, 7.2 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals as a senior and, as a junior, put up 21.5 points, 4.9 assists and 2.3 steals… Played in the same AAU program (Boo Williams) as 2025 OSU freshman signee Ryan Crotty.
Personal:
Birthday is April 17…. Son of Anthony and Eledra Clary… Has one younger brother, Kyrin.
