2012-13 (Junior season)
• was named first-team Academic All-Big 12 by the league office.
• saw action in eight games: Tennessee, N.C. State, Portland State, Central Arkansas, UT Arlington, Tennessee Tech, West Virginia and at Texas Tech.
• grabbed a career-high three rebounds in three minutes against Tennessee Tech.
• grabbed his first-career rebound against the N.C. State.
2011-12 (Sophomore season)
• walked onto the Cowboy Basketball program during his junior year at Oklahoma State.
• got on the court in three games, twice against Texas Tech and once against Texas A&M, all three OSU victories.
• was a member of the scout team for the Cowgirl Basketball squad and in intramural sports before joining the men's basketball team.
High School
• did not play basketball in high school, but did play soccer all four years.
• was a member of the Marcus Marauders' squad which won back-to-back Class 5A state championships in 2007 and `08.
• was a member of FC Dallas club team, an Olympic Development Program similar to AAU summer basketball.
Personal
Born March 14, 1991, Mason is the son of Jeanette and Phillip Cox. He is the youngest of three sons. Nolan, the oldest, was a member of the Cowboy squad in 2008-09. Austin, the youngest, is a graduate of Texas A&M and currently working on his master's degree at A&M. Mason has been a member of Phi Eta Sigman National Honor Society, the Student Commission Alliance Committee, the Public Affairs Committee and the Student Government Association as a senator. He has been named a President's Distinguished Scholar, a National Society of Collegiate Scholar and a member of the Dean's Honor Roll. Mason is majoring in mechanical engineering and picking up a minor in business management.
