Big bruiser with a soft shooting touch.

"We always want to play through our big men, and Mekhi gives us that ability. He's a strong and physical post presence who has an outstanding feel for the game, particularly as a passer. He has good hands, quick feet and a shooting touch that extends all the way out to the perimeter.”
High School:
Signed with OSU in the Fall of 2024 over finalists Ole Miss, Mississippi State, DePaul and Georgia State… At the time, ranked No. 123 in On3’s national recruiting rankings… Spent his senior year at Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kan. under coach Kyle Lindsted… Prior to that, was a Georgia Coaches Association Class 7A All-Star following his junior year at Berkmar High School… Made the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s 2023-24 All-Metro Team… In the summer of 2024, ran with Team Huncho on the Adida’s 3SSB circuit… In 15 games, averaged 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 60% from the field, 44% from three and 75% at the foul line.
