2023-24: Notched a 17-9 record in his first year starting at 149 pounds … Found his groove in the postseason, finishing runner-up at the Big 12 Championships and reaching the round of 16 at nationals … Took down No. 6 Casey Swiderski of Iowa State in the Big 12 semifinals for the highest-ranked win of his career, but could not finish the championship match due to injury … Maneuvered a late seven-point move to defeat Iowa’s 13th-seeded Caleb Rathjen in the first round of the NCAA Championships before dismantling No. 19 Joseph Zargo of Wisconsin, 20-4, in consolations … Nine of his wins came with bonus points, including six technical falls … Made his season debut with a title at the Lindenwood Open, which included victories over teammates Teague Travis and Carter Young … Collected other key wins against No. 18 Gabe Willochell (Wyoming), No. 18 Alek Martin (South Dakota State) and Victor Voinovich III (Iowa).
