Cowboys Wrap Up Day Two At NCAA Championship

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 293 during its second round at the NCAA Championship on Wednesday to slide into 25th place at Capital City Club's Crabapple Course.
The Cowboys' 13-over score gave them a 36-hole total of 572, putting them a shot behind Texas Tech and Auburn at the par-70, 7,319-yard layout. Georgia Tech moved into the top spot on the leaderboard with its second consecutive 274, which gave the tournament host a 12-under 548 total and a one-shot cushion over California.
Arizona State's Jon Rahm remained in first place in the individual race after posting a 72 to stand at 7-under 133.
Ian Davis led the way for OSU's starting five with an even-par 70. The junior finished the day tied for 16th place at 3-under 137.
Junior Talor Gooch posted a 76 to dip into a tie for 72nd place at 143, while freshman Jordan Niebrugge's 74 gave him a 145 total and tied him for 97th place.
Junior Kevin Dougherty carded his second consecutive 74 to stand in a tie for 133rd place at 148.
Sophomore Patrick Winther posted a 75 and is tied for 152nd place at 153. The Cowboys will begin the final round of stroke play tomorrow at 7:50 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Florida and Kent State.
