The Series
Sunday marks the 188th Phillips 66 Bedlam Series dual, by far Oklahoma State's most against any opponent. The series dates back to 1920, when OSU crushed the Sooners, 50-0, in a dual that still stands as the largest margin of victory ever between the two programs. With their 28-9 victory in December, the Cowboys reached 150 all-time wins over Oklahoma and improved their Bedlam record to 150-27-10. Oklahoma State has tightened its grip against the Sooners over the past decade, winning 18 consecutive duals for the third-longest win streak in program history. A victory on Sunday would match the second-longest streak and be just one victory shy of the series record of 20, set between 1969 and 1978. Oklahoma's last win in the series came in Norman on December 1, 2013. The series now returns to Stillwater, where the Cowboys have won 23 duals in a row, not suffered a defeat since 1995 and are 82-12-2 all-time. Head coach John Smith holds a staggering 57-6-3 record against Oklahoma, surrendering just a single loss in the last 15 years. Sooner head coach Roger Kish is winless in two tries against OSU between his time at Oklahoma and North Dakota State.
Â
In December, Oklahoma State marched down to Norman and took eight of 10 bouts en route to a commanding 28-9 victory. Three Cowboys earned bonus-point victories on the day, including Brayden Thompson's 9-0 shutout against then-No. 17 Tate Picklo. For the performance, Thompson was named NCAA Wrestler of the Week.

About the Cowboys
Oklahoma State landed at No. 2 in Tuesday's NWCA Coaches Poll for the second consecutive week before battling in-state rival No. 25 Oklahoma on Sunday. The Cowboys, who are 13-0 for the first time since 2019, are joined by Penn State as the only two undefeated teams remaining in the country. OSU leads the nation with 11 ranked wins and has defeated a ranked opponent in nine straight duals, its longest streak in 20 years. OSU has also beaten three top-five teams on the year, most recently topping No. 5 Missouri in Columbia on February 4. Last Saturday, Oklahoma State downed No. 12 South Dakota State, 31-6, matching its second-largest margin of victory this season. Three Cowboys came up clutch with wins in sudden victory, improving OSU's record to 13-3 in dual bouts that reach overtime.
Â
The Cowboy lineup is led by returning All-Americans and Big 12 champions Daton Fix and Dustin Plott, as well as 165-pounder Izzak Olejnik, who finished eighth last season at Northern Illinois. The trio has combined for a 53-5 record and makes OSU one of three teams in the country with at least three wrestlers ranked third or higher. Oklahoma State also boasts a deep lineup on top of its star power, with all 10 starters ranking in the top-20, including six in the top-10. Redshirt freshman Troy Spratley has settled into his role down the stretch and provided a much-needed spark at the front of the lineup. Posting an 18-4 record, Spratley is a consensus top-10 wrestler at 125 pounds. Tagen Jamison, another redshirt freshman, is 17-5 on the year with five top-10 wins and joins Spratley in the top-10 at No. 8 in the country. After opening the year at 149 pounds, Teague Travis has solidified himself as a key piece of the Cowboy lineup at 157. He is tied for second on the team with 11 dual victories and cracked the top-10 in the second edition of the NCAA Coaches Ranking released on Thursday. True freshman Brayden Thompson has won nine of his last 12 matches at 174 pounds, while heavyweight Konner Doucet is 15-5 on the year, has defeated eight ranked opponents and ranked as high as No. 8 in the nation.
