Cowboys travel to Utah for Big 12 Match Play Tournament
October 11, 2026 | Cowboy Golf
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Oklahoma State men's golf team is headed to The Country Club at Salt Lake City, where it will open play in the Big 12 Match Play Tournament on Monday.
The par-72, 7,018-yard course is the home layout of host Utah, and all 16 conference teams will be in the field. Teams will play three rounds of pool play before advancing to bracket play Tuesday afternoon, with the final matches Wednesday morning.
The Cowboys enter as the tournament's top overall seed. Texas Tech is the No. 2 seed, followed by Arizona State and Kansas.
All five players who competed at the NCAA Championship are back, including Eric Lee, Gaven Lane, Ethan Fang and Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson. Fifth-year senior John Wild will also make the trip for the Cowboys as the sixth man.
Each team match consists of five individual matches worth one point apiece, with ties worth half a point. The team with more points earns three team points, and a tie gives each team one.
Pool A: Oklahoma State (1), Cincinnati (8), Arizona (9) and UCF (16)
OSU opens against UCF on Monday, and continues at 2:30 p.m. against Arizona. The Cowboys' last pool play match is against Cincinnati on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. and tournament play will begin at 2:30 Tuesday.
Play begins Monday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CDT, and the second round follows at 2:30 p.m. CDT.
