STILLWATER – Oklahoma State sophomore guard Ryan Crotty has been selected to represent the Big 12 Conference on the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Student-Athlete Engagement Group for 2026-27.
Â
Established in 2023, the group brings together one men's basketball student-athlete from each Division I conference to provide a student-athlete voice on issues impacting the college game.
Â
Members meet virtually throughout the year and provide feedback to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Oversight Committee on current and anticipated topics, including transfers, recruiting, name, image and likeness, championship experiences and other issues affecting student-athletes.
Â
"Ryan has done a great job building relationships, not only within our team but across our athletic department and campus," head coach Steve Lutz said. "He has shown that he wants to be part of something bigger than himself. This is a great next step for him, and I know he'll represent Oklahoma State and the Big 12 well."
Â
The 6-foot-6 guard from Holly Springs, N.C., is entering his second season with the Cowboys. As a freshman he represented the men's basketball team on Oklahoma State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Â
Crotty and OSU will unofficially open the 2026-27 season this Sunday with a 2 p.m. exhibition game against New Mexico at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Admission is free with doors opening one hour before tipoff.
