STILLWATER — A 24-point performance from Liv McGill and Audi Crooks' 100th consecutive double-digit game led the No. 22/19 Oklahoma State women's basketball team to a dominant 92-38 win over Morgan State on Friday night in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls improved to 2-0 with the win, while the Lady Bears fell to 1-2.
Crooks scored the game's first two buckets while OSU held Morgan State to just six points in the first quarter, including a seven-minute scoreless stretch, to take a 19-6 lead after the first frame.
McGill led the Cowgirls with ten points in the second quarter, and Nene Ndiaye added nine, helping OSU extend its lead to 27 by halftime.
Yuting Deng and Crooks scored eight points each in the third quarter, with four assists from McGill. The Cowgirls held the Bears to eight points in the quarter to take a 68-23 lead into the fourth and final frame.
OSU continued to perform in the final ten minutes, tallying 24 points and 15 rebounds as a team to close out the game, 92-38.
McGill led the team with 24 points, joined by four teammates that also hit double digit scoring. She finished with eight assists on the night, surpassing the 400-career assist benchmark.
Crooks' 14-point performance marked her 100th consecutive game with 10+ points, the third player in Big 12 history to reach this mark. With 11 rebounds, she also recorded her first double in America's Brightest Orange.
Callin Hake scored six points, surpassing 800 in her collegiate career. Deng and Ndiaye both shot a perfect 100% from the field.
OSU has held its first two opponents to 39 and 38 points, respectively, the fewest in season-opening games since the program's first season in 1973-74. Additionally, it's the first time OSU has held back-to-back opponents under 40 points since 2010-11.
Next up, the Cowgirls hold Classroom at the Court when they host Northwestern State at 11 a.m. on November 9 inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
