• received first-team All-State honors from the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association as a sophomore in 2011-12.
• named the Most Valuable Player of the Foothill Conference and first-team All-Foothill Conference.
• averaged 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 31 games at San Bernardino Valley in 2011-12.
• shot 50.5 percent from the floor, 45.2 percent (52 of 115) from long range, and 85 percent (96 of 113) from the free-throw line.
• scored a career-high 35 points against Victor Valley CC on Jan. 14, 2012, connecting on 12-of-16 shots from the floor, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc.
• also had seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and just one turnover in 24 minutes against Victor Valley.
• had 26 double-figure scoring games, 12 20-point contests and two 30-point games, including 30 vs Antelope Valley on Feb. 4, 2012.

Personal
Born Feb. 20, 1992, Kirby is the son of Kirby and Krista Gardner. He is the oldest of four children, including sisters, Kijera and Kamia, and a brother, Kameron. His father played college basketball at Citrus College. Kirby played football until his freshman year in high school, and enjoys watching college and professional football in his spare time. He is undecided on his major at Oklahoma State.
