Coach Hoyt on Canfield: “ I am so excited about the addition of Zoe. I have known about her since she was in grade school and have always respected her love for the game and her work ethic. We align with one another in so many ways, and that is special for me to have as a coach. Our culture got stronger the second Zoe decided to be a Cowgirl. It was important for us to continue to put great shooters on the floor. We have always hung our hat on shooting the three, and she fits perfectly into that mold. She is a specialist who understands her strengths and wants to use them to contribute to being part of a great team.”
At Missouri State (2025-26): Obtained a medical redshirt for the 2025-26 season after appearing in 10 contests before missing the rest of the season due to injury… Finished with nine points, five rebounds and two assists in those ten appearances.
At Kansas (2024-25): Made 15 appearances with one start in her freshman season at Kansas… Averaged 1.7 points per game while making 50% (8-of-16) of her shots from beyond the arc… Turned in her best performance of the season with 12 points on 4-for-5 shooting against in-state rival Kansas State on February 22.
High School: Two-sport standout at Washburn Rural in Topeka, Kan., where she competed in basketball and volleyball… On the hardwood, she led the Junior Blues to three consecutive state tournament appearances, including a Class 6A title in 2022… Earned runner-up finishes in each of the next two years… Named an all-state selection on three occasions, highlighted by first-team honors in 2024… That year, she was a finalist for the Topeka Capital-Journal’s Female Athlete of the Year Award… Was also named a McDonald’s All-American nominee in 2024… Collected All-Centennial League honors three times… Missed a portion of her junior season due to a torn ACL… Guided Washburn Rural’s volleyball team to the state tournament all four years… Won the state tournament in 2022 and was named to the competition’s all-tournament team.
Personal: Native of Topeka, Kan… Daughter of Jordan and Eileen Canfield… Comes from an athletic family… Her brother, Jett, played basketball at Creighton from 2018-21… Her father and mother both played collegiately at Washburn University from 1992-96 – father, Jordan (basketball) and mother, Eileen (softball and volleyball)… Enjoys playing other sports, cooking, drawing and spending time with family and friends in her free time… Double majoring in business marketing and entrepreneurship with a certificate in sports marketing and revenue generation.
